Barcombe Charity Family Fun Run

Continuing to raise money to support young people in Kitwe, Ndola, Zambia
Our annual family fun run will once again be raising money for friends and young people in Ndola, Zambia, who we have been supporting since a trip to the local village in 2009.
Until this point, we have supported feeding programs, the local school on the set up of sustainable businesses. Our Christmas pencil case appeal in 2021 also brought smiles to the faces of many young children who received the first ever Christmas gift. During 2022. We also sent multiple packages containing shoes and clothes donated by friends of Barcombe Village. Most recently at Christmas 2022 we sent funds to support for the school fees, uniform, and equipment for up to 70 local children.
This year you can register to take part in our annual 6K family fun run on Monday 1st May 2023.
The race begins at Barcombe Recreation ground with the registration starting at 9:30am. Runners will follow a route through the beautiful Knowlands Wood, where at this time of the year you will see a blanket of spectacular bluebells and often much other wildlife including birds or prey and deer.
Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a lead throughout the morning.
There is also the opportunity to run virtually if you can’t make the event date.
