Anti Racism protests take place in East Sussex

Anti-racism protests have taken place across East Sussex, with the police thanking the public for their support.

Last night In Brighton City Centre, around 2-thousand people gathered - some holding banners, saying things like STAND UP TO RACISM and REFUGEES ARE WELCOME HERE.

They came amid reports of protests aimed at an immigration lawyer based in the city.

8 anti-immigration protesters were kettled against the BBC building by police for their own protection.

Around 400 individuals gathered at Cambridge Gardens in Hastings for a peaceful demonstration overseen by police without any significant incidents or arrests.
