East Sussex Partners in Care (ESPIC) is pleased to announce Wightman & Parish as the official sponsor for the “Ancillary Worker of the Year” category in the upcoming 2024 East Sussex Care Awards. This partnership recognises Wightman & Parish’s commitment to supporting the dedicated ancillary teams whose essential work underpins the exceptional quality of care across the region.

The East Sussex Care Awards, hosted by ESPIC, will take place Thursday 14th November from 6.30 pm at East Sussex National Hotel and Resort near Uckfield to celebrate outstanding achievements in the care sector. Celebrating 12 categories of excellence, the awards highlight the dedication, professionalism, and compassion of those who make a difference in care every day. The "Ancillary Worker of the Year" award specifically acknowledges the behind-the-scenes heroes, such as maintenance, administrators, activities coordinators, kitchen, and cleaning staff, whose invaluable contributions are essential to delivering safe, comfortable, and supportive environments for both residents and staff.

Mike Derrick Chair of East Sussex Partners in Care, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership:

On behalf of our members and care providers across the county, we are thrilled to have Wightman & Parish join us as the sponsor of the ‘Ancillary Worker of the Year’ category. They are a highly regarded company in the care community and their commitment to health, hygiene, and care aligns perfectly with our mission to showcase and support every role that contributes to quality care. With their sponsorship, we look forward to recognising the invaluable efforts of those who work tirelessly behind the scenes to support the East Sussex care community.”

With Wightman & Parish’s support, the 2024 East Sussex Care Awards will continue to be a prestigious event that recognises excellence at every level of the care sector. This partnership underpins the shared commitment of ESPIC and Wightman & Parish to highlight the incredible individuals whose contributions often go unrecognised but remain essential to effective, compassionate care.
