Uckfield Bowls Club held a special gathering on 23rd April
It was to mark the completion of their long-awaited new clubhouse, which has taken more than three years to complete.
Mark Broadway, the President of Sussex County Bowls (Men's Section) was on hand to declare the new clubhouse officially open.
Club President Peter Cameron-Waller said, "The clubhouse opening ceremony was a great success and put our club in a very good light. Thanks and congratulations to all those who contributed in any way. Our Chairman and Secretary both did a splendid job in the planning of the event so that everything went like clockwork. Then there was the tidying and preparation, decoration, and furniture arranging and photography. An efficient bar and food to a very high standard must both certainly deserve a mention. Lastly, but still a very important aspect of the day, was the turnout of members in club colours.
We are very grateful to Mark Broadway for attending the event, cutting the ribbon and declaring the clubhouse open.”
