Record breaking August session for Chailey Repair Cafe

Celebrating their 5th birthday, more than 120 people visited the session.

During the 3 hour session, the volunteer team tackled more than 90 repairs. A family from Holland, where Repair Cafes started, were among the visitors.

The team are now getting set for their sessions this month and beyond. They've advised it can get very busy so be prepared to wait (refreshments are available).

There's also a reminder that if you are bringing electrical items, to try and bring connecting and power supply leads.

You'll find Chailey Repair Cafe on the second Saturday of each month (9th September and 14th October are the next sessions), you can take along broken items or clothing needing repair.

The service is provided free, with donations to help with running costs welcome.

You can check in advance if they can help with your broken items by emailing chaileyrc@gmail.com and find out more on their Facebook page.
