A further consultation is underway over whether to reduce the number of councillors in Framfield.
Following a request by Framfield Parish Council in June 22 to reduce the number of councillors from 11 to nine, Wealden District
Council undertook an online consultation survey as part of a Community Governance Review.
That public survey closed in September and now a Stage 2 consultation is underway
for residents in the parish to give their views on a draft recommendation that the number of councillors be reduced by two with
effect from May 2023.
Households which will be affected by the proposed change will be able to have their say via an online survey, which opened on Tuesday 1 November and will finish at 5pm on Wednesday 30 November.
Councillor Pam Doodes, Wealden council’s portfolio holder for Community Leadership, said, “Community Governance Reviews are important and I would urge all those residents living in Framfield to make their views known.”
Residents can submit their views via the online survey at Community Governance Review stage 2 - Framfield Parish - Wealden District Council - Wealden District Council
The consultation will run from Tuesday 1 November until Tuesday 30 November 2022.
People can submit their views via the online survey or request a copy of the survey by email or post by contacting the CGR Project manager, Wealden District Council, Vicarage Lane, Hailsham, East Sussex, BN27 2AX or email CGR@wealden.gov.uk
