The St Wilfrid’s Hospice team welcomed the biggest crowd ever to this year’s Rainbow Run on Saturday 18th May at Nash Street Chiddingly
Ashdown Radio's Ryan Millns sent over 1,200 people through eight different coloured paint and foam stations in the fields at Nash Street Farm, near Hailsham, for the fourth St Wilfrid's Hospice Rainbow Run on Saturday afternoon.
Our local hospice supports people with life-limiting illnesses, and their families and carers, either in their own homes, care homes, or at the hospice itself in Broadwater Way, Eastbourne. They cover a wide area including Seaford, Hailsham, Heathfield and Uckfield.
The crowd were entertained by Eastbourne & Lewes Rock Choir, who sang some classic tracks to get the crowd warmed up before doing a dance workout with Fit By Maria.
Senior Events Fundraiser at St Wilfrid’s, Beth Hillier, said: ‘It took a lot of people to make the event happen. A big thank you to all of our volunteers who helped on the day, our headline sponsors. ‘The biggest thank you goes to Mark Thomas and family for the incredible donation of Nash Street Farm. This event couldn’t have happened without all of you, and we are so grateful for everybody’s support.’
The total amount raised has now surpassed £70,000 with more money due to come in.
