Uckfield will mark Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day with several commemorative events and fundraising activities this November.
In the build-up to November 10 and 11, when memorial events and services will take place, there are many sites around town where you can buy poppies. All proceeds from donation boxes go directly to the Royal British Legion (RBL), with Uckfield having a local representative who is in charge of running the Poppy Appeal in the town.
Please support the Appeal wherever you can and give generously, as all profits made by the RBL will go into their work supporting veterans in a wide variety of ways.
Poppy boxes and collection tins are in various shops and venues around the town, including here at the Uckfield Town Council Office.
Alternatively, you can also purchase an enamel pin or more specialist items directly from the Poppy Shop of the RBL here: https://www.poppyshop.org.uk/collections/poppy-pins-brooches
