It was better news for Buxted Park, as their seven wicket victory against Burgess Hill moved them up-to third, as Isfield beat Bolney by two wickets, and Plumpton & East Chiltington narrowly lost by 15 runs to East Grinstead’s 2nd XI.
In the Division 5 East and Fletching beat Pett by an emphatic nine wicket margin, with Barcombe beating Heathfield Park by 29 runs and Newick losing to Ringmer by 113 runs.
Nutley moved up-to second in the Division 9 East, with a 49 run win against the Tunbridge Wells Borderers, as Rotherfield beat Denton by seven wickets, as they moved into third, just four points behind Nutley.
Finally for the cricket, Blackboys fell by 81 runs to Herstmonceux’s 2nd XI, as Hadlow Down won by a single run against Poynings 2nd XI, moving them into second having won all four of their games this season.
