The Sussex Sharks failed to end their time in the T20 Blast on a positive note
They fell by five wickets to Gloucestershire to exit the tournament, with the loss meaning the team finished in sixth.
In the local leagues, Crowborough were beaten by Dicker in a convincing six wicket manner, as Uckfield Anderida fell to a fifth defeat in a row, as they lost by 174 runs to top of the league St Peter’s 3rd XI.
Elsewhere, Buxted lost ground at the top of Division 2, as they fell by 23 runs to West Chilington and Thakeham, as Isfield were beaten by two wickets to Little Common Ramblers, and Plumpton & East Chiltington fell to a heavy eight wicket defeat to Crawley Down.
Results did improve for our local sides in the Division 5 East, as Barcombe beat Pett by 134 runs, and Fletching earned a 90 run win against Newick, with their winning run extending to five games.
Meanwhile, Rotherfield maintained their position atop the Division 9 East, beating Alfriston by six wickets, as Nutley moved up to fifth, with an eight wicket victory against Denton.
Finally for the cricket, Blackboys fell to a 12 run defeat to Kerala Strikers, and Hadlow Down lost again by a narrow margin, losing by 10 runs to Hurstpierpoint’s 3rd XI.
And in football, pre-season is underway, with AFC Uckfield Town losing 2-0 to Montpellier Villa, Crowborough Athletic were beaten 3-1 by Snodland Town, and Jarvis Brook lost to Tunbridge Wells 5-1.
